I am so grateful for such a wonderful year in 2015. As we prepared to welcome another little one into our family this year I chose to shift my priorities a bit and decided not to stress so much about trying to get business. I feel blessed and so humbled to look back and see how your business and referrals kept me busy throughout the year. I am so grateful for all of your support and for all those that have trusted me to document the incredible beauty of their lives. It’s easy for me to get overwhelmed with life and the news of the world but photo sessions have become a reminder to me to look for light in our lives (literally and figuratively) and a reminder of the outpouring of love that is around us if we take the time to look. It may seem obvious, but I love the realization that has come to me that people want professional photos taken because they deeply love someone. They want a physical remembrance of this love and these moments in their lives. The way an engaged couple is so smitten that despite the hustle of the world all their eyes see are each other. The excitement and nervousness in the eyes of a couple expecting a child, whether it be their first or fifth. The way time tangibly stops in the moments of a birth. The tears that stream down the cheeks in the moment that two people become parents. The immense joy coupled with all-too-real stress as we try our hardest to raise our children. These are moments that I cherish and need. Thank you so much for sharing them with me.
2016 is going to be a year of change and I am so excited to share the things I have been planning! I truly hope to connect with all of you again and can’t wait to meet many new faces and families. And because everything is better with a photo, here is one of my all-time favorites from a lifestyle portrait session done earlier this year in this sweet family’s home.
Happy New Year friends!
