Due to inclement weather and wanting all odds in our favor when photographing two-year-old twins, we had to reschedule the Apostolopoulos’s family session but what a wonderful decision that was! We lucked out with the most gorgeous light as the sun was setting after an unusually warm October day. Cantigny Park had these unique yellow chairs and benches throughout the park that Nora, John & I fell in love with.
It was so fun to photograph Nora & John and to watch them with their children. Being a parent is hard and with two-year-old twins we spent a lot of the session chasing and tickling the kiddos, trying to get them to stay still for a split second. Nora and John were so good with them, laughing, playing, thinking of new ideas and having so much patience. These two little kiddos sure are loved.
My 4-year-old loved these portraits when he saw me uploading this blog post. WHOA! A hot air balloon!” Then he got upset and scolded me for not holding onto the basket, worried that these little ones were going to float away with all the balloons :). Nora had so many fun ideas – I loved working with her as we planned the session and helping her vision become a reality.
This is one of my all-time favorites. I love photographing moms and their babies. Add a rose garden in full bloom in the middle of October & I’m in photographer heaven.
Happy Birthday Apostolopoulos twins! Thank you for allowing me capture this special age!
